Images of sexualized violence are present in almost all media and surround us every day. They represent a part of the political space, making the question of how images of sexualized violence are used to govern highly controversial. The conference will discuss the visualization of sexualized violence across disciplines. With reference to queer-feminist re/presentation politics, the aim is to explicitly intervene in the production of future ideas/images of sexualized violence.

Feminism and Riot is a transcultural, women's political alliance for feminist riot on March 8, International Women's Day.

This year, the first Feminism and Riot Camp will take place in Linz from March 5-7 as part of Feminism and Riot. The approach for such a camp is exchange. Feminism and riot act together on the basis of different needs, experiences, ways of life and world views. Feminism and Riot forms new forms of transcultural connections and networks.

by practicing the dissolution of existing gender and power relations. We talk about: Work(s), technologies, love, economies, politics, and bodies as forms of the (im)possible. We think about strategies to deal with racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia and exploitation.

Equal Pay for Equal Work - the Role of Women in the Labor Market was the title of a presentation at the 6th Workshop of Austrian Feminist Economists (FemÖk), which took place on October 30 at Johannes Kepler University. You can listen to Andrea Weber, Professor of Economics at the University of Mannheim, in a contribution entitled "Equal Pay for Equal Work - the Role of Women in the Labor". The event was organized by the Institute for Women's and Gender Studies with the support of the Vienna Chamber of Labour.

fem.pop is a long-term study by the Archive of Austrian Popular Music (SRA) on women in Austrian pop music. SRA has analyzed its database on the Austrian music scene, which has been built up over two decades, conducted interviews with Austrian female musicians and music industry employees and compiled information to provide an insight into the gender distribution in popular Austrian music. the data is now publicly available in 2014.
