In mid-May 2024, the Theater Phönix hosted the "FORUM KEP: Pay the Artist now!" event. We already reported on it in the June broadcast and aired the audio excerpts from the first part of the event.

In the current broadcast, we hear the voices of actors from various local authorities and from the arts and culture scene. They discussed the current status of the Fair Pay strategy and their experiences with it.

On the stage were:

• Dagmar Aigner, Head of the Department of Culture, Education, Knowledge of the City of Salzburg
• Johannes Nußbaumer, Group Leader Cultural Funding, Department of Culture of the Province of Upper Austria
• Julius Stieber, Cultural Director of the City of Linz
• Thomas Diesenreiter, Managing Director of KUPF
• Daniela Koweindl, Cultural Policy Spokesperson of IG Bildende Kunst

The event was moderated by Franz Koppelstätter and Uschi Reiter from afo.

The event was organized by the Linz City Cultural Advisory Board and Linz Kultur in cooperation with the working group "pay the artist now!" and Theater Phönix. The working group is made up of representatives of IG Bildende Kunst and Künstler*innen Vereinigung Tirol.
