FIFTITU% Strategy 2022 - 2023
FIFTITU% has been a feminist organization committed to the visibility and promotion of women* in art and culture since 1998. The networking and advice center works continuously to implement better conditions for women* in the arts and culture sector. As the only platform of its kind in Austria, FIFTITU% offers not only cultural and women's political work, but also concrete advice and support for professionalization. In this way, FIFTITU% supports women* and queers* in the arts and culture scene to assert themselves and strengthen their position.
Launch-Event newsbase.at
Newsbase, the database for the promotion of art and culture, goes online and we're celebrating!

Emerging from the crisis
Over a period of two decades, FIFTITU% regularly informed its members about ongoing relevant calls, tenders, grants and scholarships in its newsletter. Thanks to this unique service, members were spared the tedious and time-consuming search on numerous platforms. With the coronavirus crisis and the associated digitalization movement, the idea was born to make this service available to a broader public via a dedicated website. After three years of intensive optimization and development work, the first official launch of Newsbase can now be celebrated.
Equal access to informationUntil now, artists have had to laboriously search for and find the calls that appeal to them on various federal, state and municipal websites. Newsbase takes the strain out of this; similar to job platforms, artists can quickly and easily find the right call and funding opportunity for them. The database presents a wide range of calls from public bodies, the private sector and non-profit organizations. It includes competitions, prizes, grants, artist-in-residence programs, public calls and studio spaces in various art disciplines. Thanks to a user-friendly interface and filter functions, projects can be searched by category, location, funding amount and other relevant criteria. The aim of Newsbase is to eliminate existing structural disadvantages caused by complicated information channels.
Time and space for exchange and networkingThe evening not only includes the presentation of Newsbase and a panel discussion, but also offers a short Q&A and sufficient time and space for exchange. Artists, funding bodies and interested parties are cordially invited to attend the event, ask questions, network and discover the numerous advantages and benefits of Newsbase
