Online-Workshop: Gender & Design
Gender & Design:
Recognize codes and stereotypes, develop gender-sensitive strategies and perspectives
Online workshop with Claudia Herling
Fri, June 18, 2021, 10:00 - 13:00, Online (via ZOOM)
As designers, we decide how people and topics are presented and how products and interfaces can be used. There is no such thing as neutral design, because our views and social influences regarding gender also have an impact on our design decisions.
What "codes" in colors, shapes, fonts are there and what stereotypes influence our visual design? How can designs be made gender-sensitive, i.e. as open and appealing as possible for all genders? On the other hand, how can important issues relating to gender equality be made visible?
Together we will discuss design examples and develop ideas for our own strategies and designs.
