Join us on March 8: Smash the patriarchy, fight for democracy! 

For over 100 years, women* have taken to the streets worldwide on March 8 to fight for their rights and a more just society. The growing international shift to the right fuels intolerance, strengthens authoritarian structures, and endangers democratic values as well as the rights of women*.
We are calling on everyone in Linz: Let’s raise our voices together and stand up for each other—because we are many, and we will not be stopped!

Why is this important?
Attacks on our democracy are increasing: budget cuts in the social sector, rising inequality, hate speech, and violence against minorities. Women*, FLINTA*, and LGBTQIA+ individuals feel the impact of these developments firsthand. If we don’t want our rights to be taken away again, we must act now. Let’s fight together for a future where everyone can live in safety, regardless of gender, origin, or sexual orientation.

We take to the streets for:
 Bodily autonomy: My Body, My Choice – safe and legal abortions worldwide!
 Protection from violence and discrimination: Everyone has the right to live safely, free from hate and exploitation.
 Fair distribution and remuneration of care work: Care work must finally be fairly distributed, paid, and recognized.
 Combating poverty and housing shortages: Women*, FLINTA*, and minorities are particularly affected – this must change!
 Equal pay for equal work: No more inequality – for true gender equality and equal opportunities!
 More visibility and representation: Women*, migrants, and marginalized groups deserve jobs that match their qualifications, as well as more visibility and influence in leadership and decision-making positions.

Our fight does not stop at borders. We support:
 The global movement for legal abortion rights.
 The brave struggles of women* in Iran and Afghanistan fighting for their freedom.
 Everyone resisting exploitation, discrimination, and violence.

We are women*, migrants, FLINTA*, and LGBTQIA+ individuals fighting together for a just, diverse, and barrier-free future. We want a good and safe life for all – and we need you to make it happen!
