16 days against violence against women*

The international campaign 16 Days against Violence against Women* / Orange the World
calls for the right to a life free from violence. 

These 16 days take place between 25 November (International Day against Violence against Women*) and 
10 December (International Human Rights Day). 

Violence against women* and girls* can take many forms. 
Violence against women is the most common human rights violation worldwide.
Orange is the signal colour for the International Day against Violence against Women*. 
Many buildings around the world are lit up in orange during this period.
