It is a current examination of the history of this first and oldest association of female artists in Austria, founded in 1910. archiv presents itself as a documentary installation in the form of a mosaic-like copy-art collage, which positions itself alongside the usual linear glass-garage exhibition modes. From there, the resulting open visual information space archiv formulates a critical statement regarding the unwritten nature of the VBKÖ - the most important motor of the first women's movement for women artists. archiv brings together the archive of the VBKÖ with various responsive contributions from the following participants (artists, cultural producers, scientists).
