16 - 19 h | Poetry slam workshop with YASMO and Esra
EsRap: "Rap/rhyme/lyrics is for everyone! For all cultures and above all for all genders. Hip hop and poetry slam is generally a male-dominated art form. We are convinced that women can write just as good lyrics as men, which is why we also offer workshops exclusively for women. Hip hop lyrics, for example, are often racist and sexist. The workshop is not just about questioning prejudices. We also counter them with our own lyrics! Workshop sign up: fiftitu@servus.at

A poetry slam (meaning: poetry contest or poetry battle) is a literary performance competition in which self-written texts are presented to an audience within a certain time. This one has a theme: women's*/men's* bodies on stage.
Poetry slams can feature a broad range of voices, styles, cultural traditions, and approaches to writing and performance. A "Theme Slam" is one in which all performances must conform to a specified theme, genre, or formal constraint. This one has a Theme: Women*/Men* Bodies on Stage.

In addition to her musical successes with her debut "keep it realistisch" and her second album "Kein Platz für Zweifel", for which she was nominated for the FM4 Amadeus Award, she was the first woman to win the title of Austrian Poetry Slam Champion in 2013. in 2009, she was the first Austrian woman to win the German-speaking Poetry Slam Championships in the U20 category.
In addition to numerous slam tours in Germany and Switzerland, she has been invited to perform in Slovenia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Belgium and Egypt. Hafedh organizes the U-20 Poetry Slam at the Dschungel youth theater in Vienna as well as the D.T.S. Poetry Slam and the reading stage of the same name, and she also gives rap workshops and poetry workshops at schools
Yasmo likes language and therefore does poetry slam, rap, poetry and everything else that can be done with language.
Esra Özmen from EsRap
The 24-year-old art student likes to dispel clichés. Together with her brother Enes (20) - EsRap - she uses the otherwise male-dominated music genre of rap to make herself heard. As "EsRap", the two want to be a mouthpiece for people from different cultural backgrounds. In their EsRap lyrics, the siblings address the issues of equality for women, foreignness in their own country and the need to stand up against injustice in both German and Turkish.
Contrary to all rap clichés, the young woman does the fast spoken vocals, while her brother contributes the melodious background vocals. EsRap find their inspiration in oriental-Turkish and Arabesque music. They were born here, grew up here, are Austrian citizens, but foreigners with pleasure!!!
