BILY turns 40 - congratulations!
For four decades, BILY has been an important point of contact for people with very different questions and issues. Young people can get support here, as can couples in crisis, people with questions about sexuality, pregnancy conflicts or all aspects of trans identity and transition. The services on offer range from counselling and psychotherapeutic support to information advice for relatives.
On 7 October, the BILY counselling centre is hosting an open day at Weißenwolffstraße 17a in Linz. We spoke to Michaela Schoissengeier about the event. She is the managing director and head of the counselling centre, works as a psychotherapist - and is also a radio colleague here on Radio FRO, with the series X_XY (Un)solved and (Un)heard!. In this interview, she tells us what BILY is all about, who can turn to the advice centre - and what we can expect at the anniversary celebrations.

The AR Walk is here!
The Augmented Resistance Walk is an immersive city tour. It connects places, stories and biographies of important female pioneers* in Linz. The players are actively involved. This not only changes the view of the city - the players themselves become part of the narrative, in which past and present come together. The walk by Oona Valarie and Ufuk Serbest makes feminist urban history visible and tangible in the public space of Linz.

- There are numerous events around the Safe Abortion Day, which takes place annually on 28 September, both worldwide and in Austria. In Linz, the programme starts on 26 September and runs until 28 September.
- The poster exhibition BELOVED MONSTERS by students from the Department of Media Design at the University of Art and Design Linz can be seen until 27 October 2025. The works will be on display in a changing window exhibition in the windows of FIFTITU% | Domgasse 14, Linz.
