The Association of Intersex People Austria (VIMÖ) was founded in February 2014. The aim of the association is to improve the quality of life of intersex people. It is the first association in Austria to stand up for the interests of this structurally discriminated group. Since February 2018, there has also been a local branch association in Vienna.

In May the association celebrated its 10th anniversary with a varied program, political exchange and shared moments with the community. Long-time companions, supporters, friends and family, as well as international guests and politicians were present.

Magdalena Klein, Vice Chairwoman of VIMÖ, tells us more about the work of the association and the challenges and successes of the last ten years in today's interview.
