The intersectional art festival presents queer-feminist perspectives through performances, music, art exhibitions and talks from September 5 - 8, 2024 at Hauptplatz Linz in the WHA Gallery, the Salon FIFTITU% and Kunstuni. As part of Ars Electronica and in cooperation with the Kunstuni Campus, the festival offers a platform for anyone interested in the intersection of art, AI and feminism.
 

❯❯❯❯ Wilderness Gardens - Immersive Game Experience by Iyo Bisseck
Salon FIFTITU%

Wilderness Gardens is an immersive game experience, that explores spatial reflection, access and the impact of technology on the control of resources. It critically questions the colonial continuum and norms of civilization. Players navigate through environments and encounter narratives from other artists that provide insights into diasporic experiences and identities. It encourages reflection on mobility, belonging and resistance, where personal and collective stories intersect. From September 4 to 8, 2024 at Salon FIFTITU% as part of the Ars Electronica Festival.

WHA Galerie

The exhibition entangled homes examines how notions of home, identity, family and home are intertwined with power relations such as gender, sexuality, class and colonialism. The exhibition explores networks and intersections of physical and digital spaces and looks for artistic works that develop alternative narratives. The selected works will be shown from September 5 to 13, 2024 at the WHA Gallery in Linz by FIFTITU% as part of the Ars Electronica Festival.

The art installation Loud cunts* shows vulvas*, that move to the rhythm of the music. The renowned artists Missex, Tonica Hunter and Bana create beats that transform these static images into organic movements. Feminism at its best in an audiovisual spectacle that challenges perceptions and celebrates diversity in art and music on September 6 from 5-10 pm.

❯❯❯ Lecture & Talk with Iyo Bisseck and Alexia Achilleos 
Kunstuni Campus

Alexia Achilleos and Iyo Bisseck examine the effects of technology on power and control structures as well as colonial dynamics. Both artists approach these topics from a local perspective - Bisseck focuses on surveillance technologies in France in her lecture "The Drone behind the Falling Star", while Achilleos examines the role of AI, colonialism and geopolitics through artist games. Following the lectures, the artists will discuss with Aileen Derieg.
