FIFTITU% has been a direct member of the European Network of Cultural Centres (ENCC) since 2026. The connection to the network has existed for over a decade through IG Kultur Österreich, a founding member of the ENCC and our umbrella organisation.
At Culture Converge 2026 on 20 May in Lisbon, Managing Director Oona Valarie Serbest is running for a seat on the ENCC Board of Directors. Her candidacy focuses on fair pay as well as queer feminist and intersectional equality policies as cross-cutting priorities in the network's programme.
Another priority is a stronger political voice for the socio-cultural sector at EU level. It is about ensuring that the working and living realities of people working in the arts and culture are reflected in cultural policy decisions, funding structures and programmes.
Thus, the candidacy of FIFTITU% combines the daily struggles for fair pay and equality in the cultural sector with a clear European perspective. The aim is to anchor queer feminist, intersectional equality policy and fair pay in the ENCC and to strengthen the political capacity of the socio-cultural sector at EU level.
Alongside us in Lisbon are Theresa Glötzl (commercial director) and Gitti Vasicek (board member). The decisions made on site are incorporated into our ongoing cultural policy work.
