FIFTITU% Workshop Gender Strategies in Art and Culture
FIFTITU% is a networking center for women in the arts and culture sector and has been working for equal rights for women for many years. Various models, strategies and projects have been successfully implemented and realized
The seminar will work on effective political argumentation and strategies for the realistic implementation of gender mainstreaming with a specific focus on cultural policy. The scope for action of the individual participants will be explored.
Topics:- Theory of gender mainstreaming / framework conditions for action
Top-down, bottom-up - Feminist theory -- background to gender mainstreaming
- Diversity - relevant for art and culture
- Feminization of areas with little capital and prestige using the example of the
Cultural sector - Strategic fields of development in the cultural sector (gender consulting for organizations, gender budgeting, gender in regional development) - gender in external relations - political demands and possibilities for implementation
Objectives:
- Empowerment and motivation of the participants in their own cultural
Sphere of action in the sense of gender equality
networking and exchange of content - Recognizing cultural-political framework conditions and structures for
Acting in the spirit of gender equality - Sharpening the ability to differentiate between gender mainstreaming
and women's policy/feminist policy and knowledge about individual

The seminar is a combination of theoretical elements, practical
Approaches, best practice examples and strategic discussions

Target group are women from the arts and culture sector:
Cultural workers, artists, those interested in cultural policy
Experience with the topic of gender equality in
cultural policy is welcome
Cultural policy is desired.

Mag.a Eva Gütlinger, trainer in adult education, consultant,
systemic coach, independent cultural manager.
Training as a cultural worker, sociology studies with the
Education and women's studies; many years of full-time and
part-time work in cultural management, conception and training
for educational projects (key competencies, gender mainstreaming,
Rhetoric, work-life balance...)
