2. General

We process personal data only to the extent necessary and on the basis of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG). This statement informs you in accordance with Art. 13 and 14 GDPR about the nature, scope and purpose of processing. “Personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable person.

3. Hosting & server log files

Our website is hosted by servus.at (a cultural association in Linz). servus.at processes personal data on our behalf as a processor (Art. 28 GDPR). When the website is accessed, the server automatically records so-called server log files:

  • IP address of the accessing device
  • date and time of access
  • page / file requested
  • volume of data transferred, browser type and operating system

This data is used exclusively for the technical operation, security and stability of the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Cookies

This website uses only technically necessary cookies (the Drupal session cookie) required for operation (e.g. forms, login). No cookies are set for marketing or tracking purposes. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and § 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act.

5. Web analytics (Matomo)

For statistical analysis we use Matomo, hosted by servus.at (webstats.servus.at) – not by a third-party provider such as Google. Matomo is configured to minimise data: without cookies and respecting the browser’s “Do Not Track” setting. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

6. Contact forms

You can reach us via contact forms on the website. We process the data you provide (e.g. name, e-mail address, message) in order to handle your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR. We store the data for as long as necessary to process your request.

7. Event and workshop registrations

For registrations to events or workshops we process the data provided (first name, last name, e-mail address and, where applicable, a message to the team) in order to organise your participation. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. The data is deleted after the event, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

8. Newsletter (double opt-in)

For sending the newsletter we use Mailtrain, hosted by servus.at (newsletter.fiftitu.at). Registration uses the double opt-in procedure: after signing up you receive a confirmation e-mail; only after clicking the confirmation link are you added to the mailing list. We process your e-mail address as well as the time of registration and IP address to document your consent. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link in every e-mail.

9. Embedded content from independent media

Individual pages embed content from independent media platforms (in particular dorftv.at and cba.fro.at / Freies Radio). When this content loads, your IP address is transmitted to the respective provider so that the content can be displayed in your browser. We have no influence over any data processing by these providers; their privacy policies apply. Legal basis: legitimate interest in displaying the content (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

10. External links

Our website contains links to external third-party websites. When you click them, you leave our site; we have no influence over their data processing.

11. User accounts (editorial team)

User accounts exist for editorial maintenance (name, e-mail, encrypted password). These are intended only for authorised staff. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) GDPR.

12. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. Please contact office@fiftitu.at.
