As designers, we decide how people and topics are presented and how products and interfaces can be used. There is no such thing as neutral design, because our views and social influences regarding gender also have an impact on our design decisions.
What "codes" exist in colors, shapes and fonts and what stereotypes influence our visual design? How can designs be made gender-sensitive, i.e. as open and appealing as possible for all genders? On the other hand, how can important issues relating to gender equality be made visible? Together, we will discuss design examples and develop ideas for our own strategies and designs.

Trainer: Claudia Herling is a graduate designer, research assistant at the IT faculty of Heilbronn University and co-owner of the design studio digitale frische. She is deputy chairwoman of the international Gender Design Network e. V. and an expert on gender and (digital) design.
