🎬 Filmscreening "HOW THE ROOM FELT"

Film screening: HOW THE ROOM FELT
as part of Frau.Macht.Film. at the Moviemento cinema in Linz
Afterwards: Q&A with the director Ketevan Kapanadze & FIFTITU%

The documentary film debut by Ketevan Kapanadze - based on a poem by Audre Lorde - portrays a soccer club for women and queer people in Kutaisi, a small Georgian town. The focus is on a group of non-binary people who create a safe space to exchange ideas and question their notions of identity through the soccer club and togetherness.
Discrimination, exclusion and violence are part of everyday life for these sports enthusiasts and their friends in Georgia, whether on the street or within the conservative expectations of their families.
HOW THE ROOM FELT is an impressive film about the cohesion of a group that unfortunately still has to strengthen itself far too often and defies external hostility beyond binary gender concepts.
