At the beginning of March, we attended the symposium "Stadt fair gestalten! - Planning culture for a gender-equitable and inclusive city" at the Architekturforum OÖ (afo).
In our March issue of 52 Radiominuten, we already broadcast some of the speakers' inputs from there. In this broadcast, we listen to the audio excerpts from the final discussion.
The panel included Linz's Women's City Councillor Eva Schobesberger, City Councillor for Planning Dietmar Prammer, Katja Schechtner, scientist and expert in the fields of urban mobility and smart cities and Wojciech Czaja, journalist for architecture and urban culture. Schechtner and Czaja curated the exhibition "Frauen Bauen Stadt" at the afo.
Lene Benz from the Architekturzentrum Wien moderated the discussion.

In the world of the Riot Grrrl Movement, which combines feminist punk music and activism, the visibility of transgender people plays an important role. Riot Grrrl Day on April 9 reminds us how this movement works for equality and against discrimination. A few years ago, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh declared April 9 Riot Grrrl Day to honor Kathleen Hanna, the former lead singer of Bikini Kill and one of the pioneers of the Riot Grrrl movement.
But has the movement always been open to transgender people?
