Water Makes Us Wet
Film screening and talk on and about water
@ Salon Ship Florentine

What happens when we see the earth as our lover?

Water Makes Us Wet follows Annie Sprinkle and Beth Stephens on their water research journey. With their idea of an ecosexual movement, they combine the environmental movement with the fight for social justice. Before that, cultural scientist Julia Grillmayr and aquatic ecologist and artist Christina Gruber talk about rivers, mud, marshlands and other projects along water routes. We might also speculate on what it would be like if the Lobauautobahn had not been built.

FIFTITU% is listed as a best practice organization in the European Commission's "Towards gender equality in the cultural and creative sectors" report.

For the first time, the EU Member States have set gender equality and gender identities as a priority objective in the EU Work Plan for Culture 2019 - 2022. The report focuses primarily on how this can be achieved in the cultural and creative sectors (CCS): https://op.europa.eu/s/pH9b

QUEERTACTICS presents the most interesting queer works of international filmmaking of recent years as well as some historical works that are never or far too rarely seen in the light of the big screen. Because these films simply cannot be allowed to disappear from the screen again after a single screening in the cinema and because we need queer encounters in the flesh this year in particular, we are delighted to invite you as a local cooperation partner to QUEERTACTICS_IN_THE_OPEN 2021 in Linz!

"I want to have an artistic life and then die" the architect and artist Ayan Rezaei tells me in our interview. She came to Linz from Iran in 2015 to study architecture. Here she has shaped her life around art and architecture. She produces concrete paintings and concrete collages from collected material that she finds on numerous construction sites.

Music, performance and theater are the areas in which Sara Trawöger feels at home. At the time of our interview, she was in Germany with her performance VERDACHTSFLÄCHE ALTLAST. We therefore met up virtually for a ZOOM interview.
She told us more about her performance and her artistic work with the band La Sabotage and in her solo project Abrupt.
